Get involved in National PA Day as a PA employer

National PA Day takes place on Friday 13 November 2026. It recognises Personal Assistants (PAs), PA employers and the working relationships that support choice, control and independent living. The Personal Assistant Programme Board has worked together with PA employers, PAs, and organisations across the UK and Ireland to encourage and support people to take part in this year’s National PA Day.

As a PA employer, you can use the day to share your experience, find information and support, or connect with other employers. You can choose how you take part, depending on your interests and how much time you have.

The theme for this year in Scotland is “Strengthen Our Impact”. The PA Programme Board decided this should be the theme because:

  • When Personal Assistant employers and Personal Assistants work well in partnership, the impact they achieve together is even greater
  • Personal Assistants play a vital role in upholding their employer’s right to live independently and participate fully in their communities
  • This support is often provided discreetly and can go largely unrecognised within local communities, despite its significant value
  • To strengthen this impact, more people need to consider becoming Personal Assistants. Being a PA is a rewarding role in which the difference they make to a PA employer’s quality of life can be truly life changing

If you are interested in being involved, you can sign up for this national PA employer mailing list, where resources and information about how to take part in National PA Day will be shared.
